WALT calculate the mean,mode,median and range.

My next steps are to lock the meanings of the mean,mode.median and range so I can remember them for next time. Also to use already what I know about statistics and to add the tens to the mean,expand the mode and do the best I can to the other ones.

But I still did it.

This is my self assessment sheet. On the left side is my assessment and on the right side is my peers assessment. My peer was Maia S we are in group A. The yellow is something to work on and the green is something I've mastered. But the redy,orangey colour is a mistake it is supposed to be yellow. Down the bottom is the feedforward comment Maia gave me.

Clay making 2014!

Art sample: Walt mould and add detail

1. I am proud of my clay because I tried really hard to complete my work. And I also took my time by helping others and giving some people great feedback and pretty good feedforward.

2. The thing that challenged me was moulding the clay when it got dry. It challenged me because it got all tough and really hard and it made you think that it is going to crack more. 

3. I enjoyed designing and detailing my clay because it let me know that I can do anything to my clay and I can have my own a pinion.

4. I learnt how to make clay smooth and shiny. You can do this by getting a metal spoon and slowly rub it against the clay until your satisfied with your clay sculpture.

5. Next time I can try to mould it less because it will crack and start to crumble.

My published and finished story about Glow-Worms

Camp: Glow-Worms 

The walls were speckled with lights. Darkness ahead swallowed the light of my torch and I heard the wind whistle softly in time with a flutter of leaves. The glowing lights were like little beady eye's staring down at me. A river of anxiousness trickled down my spine like a shower of rain. 

I switched off my torch swiftly walking into the darkness. It was black. Pitch black. All I could see was the beautiful swamp blue lights of tiny creatures called Glow-Worms.

Finally my night vision blew off some steam. But I'm sorry to say it played a trick on me. I thought I saw a hole so as I stepped over the mysterious hole I actually fall into one! 

I squeezed my foot out. Ouch!

When I got to the end I was amazed.It was a wonderful sight to see. " The eyes of the hidden forest" says Ben   Glow-Worms are very mysterious when it comes to its personality, form and it's life style.

Russell street school camp 2014

Air rifle score

My air rifle score is 54

I worked hard to get this score by gripping onto the gun with firm hands. By trying until I get a score I was satisfied with. And by watching people who got higher than me so I can be better.

I am glad I gave air rifle shooting a go! If I didn't I would not have had as much fun on camp as everyone else. I didn't do to bad. To me, my score is worth a million! I'm proud all right.  By Olivia

Camp: Glow-Worms!
